Meet The Team

Linda Newton

Linda has been involved with IT all her working life, both in Australia and the UK, starting work as a computer operator and rising through to a senior systems analyst. Most of her work has been customer focused over a wide range of businesses – mainly in software houses.

She has specialised in the private medical market since 1989 and has been able to bring her broad business experience and abilities, both to the original design and development of Freehand Clinic Manager, and to the on-going extensions to the product. Her depth of knowledge about how private practices are organised and run is second to none.

Linda is one of the Freehand Clinic Manger support team as well as undertaking some of the training courses. She also runs the specialist Master Class courses and our unique Workshops.

Away from work, Linda is honing her skills as a glassmaker and enjoys the outdoors – especially by the sea and preferably in good weather.

Chris Newton

Chris has been involved with IT one way or another most of his working life and has operated at all levels from systems programmer through to senior IT management.

He has set-up computer departments for large organisations and has been involved in the development of some revolutionary solutions for private businesses as well as running large teams of employees. His area of expertise is technically focused and he has had experience over a wide range and size of businesses and IT platforms.

Chris is responsible for keeping Freehand Clinic Manger up to date with technological advances and predicting the future direction of IT. He was instrumental in Sensible People being the first private practice product to introduce such protocols as full ‘client/server’ processing; being able to offer a secure, remote, hosted service to clinics; implementing a range of integrated web services; making use of automatic electronic appointment reminders; link to external exercise programs; and many more.

Outside of work, Chris is a keen golfer and enjoys walking in the beautiful Welsh countryside where he lives.

Andy Bisco

Andy has been involved with Freehand Clinic Manager since its initial launch. At that time he was running his own company specialising in Photographic Library Systems for major organisations such as police forces, archive offices and the M.O.D. His initial contact with Sensible People was with their Phototracer computer software and he was so impressed that he took it on as a marketing consultant and distributor. A strong and lasting relationship resulted and he eventually became a full time member of Sensible People’s team specialising in sales, marketing and customer service.

Andy’s career has focussed on sales and marketing for business products and services for well-known brands, primarily in the photographic, medical and corporate events markets. His speciality has been finding sensible solutions to fit day to day business needs using the latest technologies. He has an ability to interpret technical systems into solutions that his customers can understand.

Andy has a strong commitment to, and a good track record in, customer service and support and believes that anyone can make use of good computer software given the right help.

Outside of work Andy is a keen sailor and also enjoys hill walking and camping, in fact any outdoor activity he can have a go at.
